課程概述 |
This course will cover:
1. Overview of stellar evolution
2. Stellar atmosphere and radiative processes
3. Stellar interiors
4. Stellar stabilities
5. The end of stars
The lectures would be in either Mandarin or English based on students’ needs. Students who would need English lectures are encouraged to contact the lecturer in advance.
If you are not successfully registered by the system, please come to me in the first lecture. |
課程目標 |
1. Describe stellar evolution on the H-R diagram.
2. Describe stellar interiors and explain why it is so.
3. Be familiar with observation features of stars and able to explain.

課程要求 |
The stellar evolution is a good example of applying basic physics principles to real-world situations. Students need to have
1. Good knowledge of general physics and thermodynamics
2. Basic knowledge of quantum physics.
3. Basic knowledge of calculus and familiarity with the notation and the concepts of differential equations.
